Its a pity, but I've taken out money after the ITV News article
My wife has also taken out some out. Both by telephone (after a long wait)
We'd put it in The Post Office not for a great interest rate but 'cos we thought it was safe and guaranteed by the Government!!
Turns out it is'nt - but the Bank of Ireland
Where is safe?0 -
I only opened the post office isa just over a month ago. There's only £100 in it but I can't afford to lose that. Is it really feasible though, that Ireland will go bust?

Although they told me the BACS would take up to 5 days, it only took 2 from when they received my letter asking for it to be closed.0 -

That is quick.
Said on paperwork it could take 'up to 30 days' and I thought if lots were pulling out they may be busier and so could take longer. Good news and I hope you have left enough cash in their coffers for my cheque:DA retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build.
