If you know anyone who runs a shop sell it to them....they are charged for their change from banks. My OH's mum has a shop and she is buying mine off me, that way neither of us are charged for the privalidge.
Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!
:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!

My wife has been collecting loose change for about 2 years and she bags up what she has each Sunday morning. Each Bag has a little piece of paper to say how much is in it. She only spends about 5 mins a week on it. When she gets full bags she puts them aside and when she is next going to the building society she pays them into her savings account. When she gets to £50.00 she puts into the Mortgage.

I count all mine up and take them to the post office to pay against whichever utility bill i have at the time.My bank (halifax) wont take more than 5 bags of any change,be it pennies or pound coins but you can pay as many as you like into a childrens account.
