Have reserved two but if that's all they are then don't think I'll bother.

Is it the same as this one? I brought one of these from Argos last month and am very impressed with it, would be really gutted though if I could have paid a fiver instead of fifty for it!

Don't be gutted it's not the same

Got mine now, it doesn't really fit into the corner which is what I wanted so might take it back. It's still really good for a fiver though.

  • I reserved 2 this morning online and went to Bolton today to be told there is no stock! That said, now I've seen it, I'm not too bothered!

Went to my local store for a look. Didn't bother. They had 10, but you can't get the rest of the range apparently.

Would be ideal in a corner in a bedroom for the kids' PC maybe, but not for much else.

    Good for a fiver.

  • Totally annoyed with PC World, we live in Coventry and the nearest store that had 3 in stock for us to reserve was 25 miles away in Birmingham. I printed off the reservation details and went there only to be told there were none left. The instore stock database said there were 2 in stock so I thought ok 2 is better than nothing, but those 2 weren't even there!! They didn't have a decent explanation for this!! The manager did tell us though that the online reservation system causes lots of problems as it lets a herd of people all reserve the same item, then it's first come first served to the store. Has anyone else had similar problems?
  • PC world don't seem to put reserved items to one side. They got mine off the shopfloor.

Had a bit of fun outside after...word of warning, dont pick the box up in a saloon with two kids in babyseats in the back!!! Had to take the stuff out of the box for it to fit in the boot - huge box.

Might only be a corner desk, but well worth a fiver guys. It will add to my computer desk as a table to do all my writing and paperwork etc on.;)

We had a simliar experince at the Reading store. Travelled from Southampton 3 hours after placing the order, expecting a 'not in stock' tel call as the website showed only the 1 in stock.
Went to CS desk and was advised although their instock database showed 3 in stock it was incorrect. Manager couldn't even explain why we didn't recieve a phone call that there was no stock, or offer an apology. Nor why the website showed only 1 instock and they showed 3.
Though upon leaving the store saw a discountined section, and low and behold there was 1 on display with 2 flat packed!
At the till, we called for the manager and made our point very known.
Looks good for the price, but nothing special.
On reflection i wonder how much they would have charged for the display model?
