They are pretty cheap in home base/B&Q ... much cheaper than the plastic look a like versions

    Ah :(

If you posted in December/January I would have told you to go to B&Q as they were selling their pots of really cheaply i.e. pots that cost £10 were £2

In general if you try and buy your pots out of season from a DIY shed then you get them really cheaply.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)

The morrison's pots are pretty big, about 12inches across at the top, and pretty sturdy looking. Good value for a quid I reckon :)
All I seem to hear is blah blah blah!

I urgently need 2 large (50-60 cm diameter) plain, terracota pots.

Anyone know where they may be had at a more reasonable price than the £40 each that B&Q are quoting?

Try Wilkos. You can browse/buy online if you want.

have you tried freecycle? its amazing what you can find on there and you could also post an ad on it asking for any terracota pots that other people dont need any more.

My local tesco had some terracotta pots which were quite cheap. also had an offer on the bright glazed pots and large saucers to sit them on. they were also selling strawberry pots (terracotta) for £10
