Investing for grand-children

My wife and I invest £20 per month for each of our two grand-daughters. One is in a National savings account and the other in an Invesco Perpetual Children's Fund.
Does anyone have a view on the best investments in this situation? I suspect the ones we have are probably pretty rubbish. We're looking here at keeing the money invested for at least the next 10-15 years (God willing
At present, I think the accounts have around £2k in them (ish)
Thanks
