Car Insurance for private lease vehicle

Hello,
I wonder if anyone could recommend any companies that offer car insurance for a privately leased vehicle. I have an 08 VW Golf 1.9 TDI and so far I have had quotes from Morrhouse and Chaucer, both of which are over £500. I am aged 30 and have 8 yrs no claims, no convictions.
Many thanks.

Most companies do not have a problem with lease vehicles, there is normally an option when you are doing a quote to enter whose name is the vehicle registered or owned, you just need to pick the right option there0

Occupation and area of country are also rating factors. Could they be to blame here?
Play around with the online comparison sites to see what is driving up the cost by changing a factor each time.0 -
I have contacted VW and they are the regsitered keepers and owners as it is a private contract hire agreement ans so this seems to be the problem in trying to get insurance from many well known companies - does anyone know of any companies that are willing to offer this?
Many thanks0 -
