I'm in the poop with MIL!
Last year MIL took on a lease car to replace her Honda CRV 04 Plate. She said she would send it to her man who could get rid of it (has sat on his forecourt ever since). Now she wants to send it to a cousin in Northern Ireland where apparently there is demand from the south due to the exchange rate.
It has just about halfed in value in the intervening period.

Lots of people are suffering negative equity on their cars, especially those on PCP plans. 4x4's have taken one hell of a hit lately in values. The man without a signature.0

I persuaded MIL to taker out a lease and sell her car privately last year she said she would get her man to sell it it on his forecourt.
1 year later the car is still sitting there and instead of being worth over £8.5k is now probably worth just over £4.5k!!
So that is the point kevin!!!0 -
Hinza, I think the difference from selling your car in Northern Ireland/UK to selling in Southern Ireland would be lost in the costs of getting your car to Northern Ireland.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0

Yes I think you are correct it seems that her cousin in NI has put her in touch with a guy in Motherwell who might be interested.0 -
From some time in Ireland i know that cars are more expensive there, (southern ireland anyway) but only by a few thousand at most. I think I would rather try put it in the autotrader for a few weeks first, costs will be much less!£2 Savers club £0/£150
