Deadline for change of circumstances form to reassess parents income?

Options
Hi,
My Mum's boyfriend (who lives with us and is therefore on my student loan application) lost his job at the end of last year. He got another job after a couple of weeks of doing nothing, but it was crap pay and he eventually got let go from that one (it was temporary), he went on job seekers for a few weeks before finding his current job, which is still rubbish pay and a bit boring but an income nonetheless.
I was going to fill in a form to send to my LEA to reassess my student support package when he lost his job the first time, but I thought I'd better wait til he got something stable, which would be now.
Since he's had 3 different jobs and jobseekers allowance in the past financial year it'll be difficult to work out what hes earned and what he's going to earn before April, so can I just wait til his end of year p60 comes and use that as evidence, or will it be too late?

TL;DR My Mum's boyfriend lost his job and is now re-employed, should I wait til April when he gets his p60 to ask the LEA to reassess my student support package or do it ASAP? Is there a deadline?

Thanks!!

I would give the loans company a ring, and explain the situation sooner rather than later (I assume you are currently at uni receiving your loan).

He would presumably have payslips from all of his jobs which should prove his income and would probably mean you are entitled to more loan, if you want to take it.

I am surprised he is part of your loan application though as he is not a blood relation, I thought in this situation you would only be assessed on your mothers income?

The OP is correct in this; it's nothing to do with blood relatives but assessed on household income.

Deadline I've always used is the end of the academic year. I believe there is a bit in the regulations about 9 months after the start of the academic year, however there is room for discretion.

Yeah, it's just having to collect them all together and send them all off, when it'd just be easier to send the p60 off (I've heard they're pretty good at losing supporting evidence!)
