e-on & Tesco points question
I signed up to change my gas & elec (from BG & EDF) to e-on online on 17/2/09 - obviously there is the 2 week cooling off period and then they say it takes approx 6 weeks until your account is up and running with them.
When I signed up (17/2) they were still offering 1 Tesco clubcard point per £ spent but as of 1/3 they are only offering 1 point per £2 spent.
My question is will I get the original point per £ even though my account isn't yet up and running?
Hope that made sense??!

Hi Nikkisun
It depends when you registered your Tesco Clubcard with us.
If you registered when you applied to switch to us on 17 February 2009 you will qualify for one point per one pound spent.
If you registered after 1 March 2009 it will be one point per two pounds spent.
It is the date you registered the card rather than when your account starts that drives this.
Hope this helps.

Hi Rian1988
To be honest I don't know why this was changed. I work in customer service and this was a business decision taken elsewhere.
I suspect it is to keep costs down.
It does not affect customers who registered their Clubcard before 1 March 2009. These customers will still receive one point per pound spent.
If you would like me to find out more I will research this further and post again. This will not be until next week though.
As you probably know the energy industry is always reviewing offers attached to their products.
Sorry I can't be more specific.
