Debenhams Bridesmaid dresses

Hi,

I was wondering if you girls could advise on what you would do in my situation?

I bought 3 bridesmaid dresses in Debenhams last weekend at the full price. They are now 25% off until tomorrow. Would any of you girls take them back and buy them again or just put it down to bad timing? It works out at £80 difference!

Thank you.

I would take them back and see what they say. They might be funny about it, I suppose it depends on who you get serving you. Good Luck.

Thanks for the reply Maureen. I was going to send my OH in to return them and I would go back and buy them a little later ;). Do you think this would work?

Can take up to a week before it goes back on the shelf, depending on how busy the warehouse staff are.

I would chance my arm and tell them you want to buy them back at the reduced price. If you go after 5, you might get a student part timer, who will gladly do that for you. I was in mine the other night and the girls were very nice and I am sure they would have done that if it was me.

let us know how you get on.

i too would be worried they might not come back out on the shelf my sister once done exactly what you had been planning to do with an expensive dress hoping the assistant would put it back on the shelf however when she keyed it into the computer for a return it immediately come up that somone in another store wanted this same dress and size, so the lady immediately put it behind the desk for reservation and my sister could not buy the dress.

unless you are willing to run the risk of losing one or maybe more i would put it down to bad luck,

I work in retail and they can't stop you getting a refund and buying again straight away. You could say you wanted to return them coz you'd found some cheaper, but with the discount these work out better so you'll buy them with the discount,

You are well within your rights (because of the returns policy that they offer) to do this. The sales assistant might be a bit shirty with you but they'll get over it!!
