Holiday insurance for Tesco clubcard deals

I have posted this on the travel and the discount threads as not sure which is the best place. I was wondering what holiday insurance people have used when booking using Tesco clubcard deals. I know that alot in insurances do not cover booking by vouchers but I have booked my holiday with Cresta and they have recommended using Tesco holiday insurance but it seems really expensive.

There was a thread on this probably 3-4 weeks ago from memory the conclusion was only Tesco insurance covers the vouchers.

Hi Sparry,

I have used vouchers for hols and only found Tesco cover the vouchers. Not daft are they? After paying deposit we sent the vouchers at the latest time we could to be deducted from the balance. We send them special delivery to the value of the vouchers - post office will advise. We then phone to make sure they have them - we go with Bridge - and then we just hope that we will all be fit enough to go!! We use one of Martins recommended insurance companies for holiday insurance as we are OAP's and we have saved over a £100 this way. We checked the insurance cover against a previous cover and found it to be better. Unless you have a health problem that you know of I wouldn't go for the Tesco insurance. If something dreadful happened to either of us - God forbid, we wouldn't want to go on holiday anyway. We are booked to go this June so keeping our fingers crossed.
