Hi
Just wanted to know peoples opinions on this
I have sold my property and will have around £40K once all credit cards, solicitors funds etc are paid off.....question is with the ever low savings rates where shall I put it?
I already have £6K in my ING account but got another letter from them today saying the rate has gone down to 3% now!! I can put about £30K away for a whole year and not touch it

You're complaining about a rate of 3%? Thats hardly that low considering the base rate is 0.5%....

Any one year fixed rate at or above 3% would do me in those circumstances................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0

Hi
Don't know if this helps but I was in the Bradford and Bingley this morning and they are offering 4.01% if you have over £30K. It is a 2 year Bond I believe so you'd need to keep your money tied up for a while here though>0
