BEWARE - Pizza Hut Delivery 50% off £30 spend - not working!

I just thought I should let you all know the following.

OH was very excited to read in Martin's newsletter about the new Pizza Hut deal to use a code either online or by telephone for Pizza Hut deliveries only (FOW0501XN) which ends 29 March and requires a minimum £30 spend in order to get 50% off. He and his work colleagues decided to order this for their lunch today.

He just called our local and was told by a lady that she would have to see the voucher and not just be quoted a code (it doesn't say this anywhere in their offer). Secondly, she advised that the Pizza Hut would have to be a delivery unit (whatever that means) and our local is not a delivery unit.

OH was very angry and made it clear and she asked him to call back in an hour and a half and try again and they will see if they will let him order!!!

We're all very angry about this. I've also read a few comments on these boards about the code not working online either.

Not impressed one bit and OH is going to complain to the Head Office if he doesn't get a satisfactory result at lunch-time.

I thought I should warn you all so that you don't get as disappointed as we have been. I will update later with the response.

Well, it's all sorted.

Apparently our local doesn't deliver (we always thought it did!)

However, that still doesn't explain their insistence on seeing some physical voucher (which doesn't exist, of course). OH provided the print-off of Martin's newsletter and they said that it states PH delivery only, which is true (we had wrongly assumed our local delivered).

However, they did knock some money off the order, as they said there's another offer on with takeaways at the moment. The cost wasn't halved like it would have been with the 50% off, but it wasn't too far off.

They did say a man had asked them for the same thing yesterday and had also produced the printed MSE newsletter, but they'd refused him as well. I'm so glad it wasn't just us being dozey!

So, please be aware of this when ordering and even if yours does deliver, please ensure you print off the part of the newsletter relating to the offer, as it might be that some PH's want to see this (as ours did).

it doesnt work on a pre order - you have to use it on an immediate delievery i think.

Used the code online the other night for an immediate delivery and it went through without any problems.

We've got family coming down next weekend so I'm going to use the 50% to feed them all.

Does anyone know how long in advance you can order for delivery, or can you only do it on the day?

I used it on a collection order, I ordered online and it worked no problem.

You can only do it on the day - i tried to do a pre order but it wont let you. There are only time slots for that day

Good offer though - used it twice so far!!!

I have used it for both delivery and collection. However, it has to be used at Pizza Hut Delivery outlets as the vouchers are on their adverts.
