Hi there, any help you could give would be great. I will be going into my thrid year in 2009/10 and so far have not been recieving the maintenance grant as my parents income was too high (i also live at home).
However, my dad lost his job just before christmas and is still unemployed meaning there is now only one source of income to the family. His income was the greatest and my moms is less than the threshold meaning i would in theory recieve something.
Will i now have to complete the parts about parental income for means testing, and can this be done online? is there place to say my dad has become unemplyed. Sorry if these are silly questions but i havent had to do it before and the online form system confused me last time i tried to do it.
thanks in advance.

Just fill in the form at www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance and submit it. Your parents will then be sent an email asking them to fill in their details, so there your Dad will be able to say how he has now become unemployed.
You only give info about yourself and your course, your parents say about their incomes.0 -
thanks for the replies everyone.0
