Is there a credit card for peeps earning under £5,000 p/a

Options
i have looked around at a fair few credit companies and what not in the hope of being accepted for a credit card, though they all come back with you earn to little, so what i am looking for is a low credit limit for peeps earning less then 5,000 a year

I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I think that Capital one might. Its the one that gives you a credit limit of £200, but the interest is high. (29.9%). But if your credit is good, I'm sure barclaycard do as well.... Maybe others will know! Sorry for the crap advice!
  • What about Vanquis?

I know they charge huge interest rates, but as they are part of Provident, I would assume they would be willing to 'lend' to most people. It is a way of rebuilding your credit file (I think - I hope)

  • The Co-operative Bank might be worth a shot... I know the limit used to be £5000 for issuing a card... but you can include housing benefit etc.
    Not ridiculous interest rates.

try the company you hold your current account with... they may be more inclined to give you a credit card

Good advice - NatWest gave me a Visa and Mastercard when I was a student without any fuss (came with a £1000 limit too).
