Tesco Premium Dental Insurance massively reducing cover

I just received my renewal after my first year of cover with Tesco premium dental insurance (AXA PPP) and they have increased the premium (expected) but reduced the cover as follows....
Routine treatment cover reduced from £200 to £125
Annual limit for remedial/resorative reduced from £2000 to £1000 with an additional limit of £500 for crowns/bridges.
Private claims have been reduced from 80% of bill to 50% !!!
On the positive side, they have introduced a no claims bonus BUT this seems bizarre to me as I have twice yearly checkups and claim for them. In fact, they are the only thing I have claimed for this year!
Overseas emergency has increased to £200/incident with a maximum of 4 claims/yr.
Other exclusions have also been added.

only to be expested I'm afraid - there are NO decent dental plans out there whatsoever...cash plans are ok but you are then incorporating physio etc tooHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Just had mine through from Tesco too!!!!
Not renewing, about to look for an alternative - have you found one?
Premium increase of 20%, base cover for checkups reduced by 37.5% and annual limit reduced by 50%.... it's shocking....0 -
I have a friend in the dental industry who suggested regular payments into a savings account was the best idea.0

Will be having a search later, if anything as good as the original policy exists I will post back.
