I recently completed my kitchen. I fitted brushed stainless steel sockets stood back and thought "that's crap". Went out and bought everything white plastic MK - looks fantastic now. The mosaic tiles were a variety of grey colours - I think it just clashed.

I would highly recommend these guys:

I have used them once for one rooms worth as they were by far the cheapest I could find. I will definately be back for more as they were great.

I went for the flat satin chrome ones and they are excellent.

The minor detail on these are much better than some others (mainly the ebay ones) for example you have a choice of the black or white plastic inserts, and some I saw in ebay were metal sockets and plastic switches.. they looked rubbish.

    Fast delivery too.

(BTW I am not associated with that place in any way :o )

Sorry also just wanted to say... if a flat switch / socket doesn't fit flat then its either a) not fitted properly or b) on an uneven wall.... either way its hardly the sockets fault...

I am chasing out and fitting the backboxes, so it won't be flush fit. Not for that reason, i just don't like that style. I see they do a Volex kitchen starter kit on ebay pretty cheap. They used to do the chrome and black inserts but only seems chrome and white now. I might get myself a real cheap plastic pack and replace when i see a good enough deal.
