Zed - I know what you're saying, and you're probably right, but at the moment I need something that's fun, and instant, and a bit throwaway, not something I need to work at, if that makes sense. I need microchips not a baked potato, even though I like baked potatoes more! :rotfl:

A relationship is a 2-way thing. As you look for someone easy and throwaway, you will be looked at in a similar manner. If you can cope with that, then get yourself out to the nightclubs at the weekends.

    Ah, YEAH! Spill!

Well we were very similar couples, in taste and everything. They also had 2 kids - a girl and a boy very similar ages to ours. I went to school with S as I shall call her and we'd been best friends for years, we even trained as dental nurses together at the tender age of 16!

A couple of years ago S started working with a new dentist B who was nearly 60  she was becoming very flirty and on a girl's night out we 'bumped into' B in a pub (You know, Muriel's Wedding Deirdre Chambers, what a coincidence bumped into!) they were snogging and all over each other and after that they would find any excuse to be together, at professional events too.
Meanwhile her poor hubby M would confide in my hubby and say "I think S is playing around!" Well we both knew that she was!

The thing that blew it all up was I had got quite a few tickets to a dental event at Hazlewood Castle and S & B came along, hand in hand, I had arranged, booked and paid for a girl's weekend away a few months in advance and when I reminded S of it she turned to B and said "What are we doing that weekend?" Arn't we busy?
I got the feeling that if I'd asked "How's M?" (her hubby) she would have said "Who? Oh, M!)

Anyway they spent the whole event whispering and acting like idiots, writing little notes back and forth, people even shushed them for god sake!
As far as I was concerned it was work because there were a lot of my dentists there.
At the end there was a meal but S&B were going of for a cosy meal somewhere.
I couldn't eat, I felt sick. I'd been used as an alibi so they could be together and I felt disgusted with her, especially the way she was acting with him.
The next time I spoke to her I said "I wasn't impressed with you & B at all!"

That's the last time I spoke to her, I found out from her long suffering hubby that she walked out on him & kids on her birthday last year!
He said I wouldn't even know the person she is now.
    I don't want to.
