IB medical how long to you hear something ?

I had a medical at their center on January 23th , but haven't heard anything about it ...so worried about it. But did have letter staying benefit going up in April ... have i passed ?? how long have you waited ? Thanks

Its the standard letter doing the rounds saying money going up in April, if you havent heard anything and ur still getting IB, wait till they contact you, as I say no news isgood news. x

still getting IB paid and yes agree with youmum2one , but want to be put out of misery and stress

I heard within 10 days, You do seem to have been waiting quite a long time. If I were you I would give them a ring and put your mind at rest, the good thing is you are still receiving IB, maybe your letter has gone missing.

was brave and rang them ... have'nt received medi forms yet and can take up tp 6 months now !! oh well least i know...

The medical outcome goes to a decision maker then you will hear!

My case took IB50 form to medical appt. (+4 months) to IB being stopped (+2 weeks) to successful appeal hearing (+6 months!!) to reinstatement of IB (+2 months)

Wow its got to be bad if people have to use their mp for appeals. The more I read from people on here the more I think I don't have a chance

Do they backdate ib to cover all of that time waiting from when ib is stopped?

should be backed dated ! but who knows ! chap at crawley IB center, said they where well behind on things due to more people out of work ! .. i have a friend who has involved her MP in getting IS ect , as they didnt pay her for 6 months , ( she did fill in all the right forms aswell ) but thats another story

If you win your appeal your IB is reinstated. Any benefit received in the mean time would be deducted first.

I was on £47 for months which wasn't fair!!

CAB (benefit specialist) are good in doing a submission which argues case law / points.

MP can ask for a reconsideration (DWP only accept if you are near the score you need)

MP can help with a person to accompany you to your appeal.
