Tupe relocation

What constitutes a significant distance for relocation under Tupe?
I commute by public transport with a train journey of half an hour. The new offices are at least a full hours train journey away (total 1.5 hours door to door).
I don't drive, but the offices are 20 miles from my current site.
Would this be considered unreasonable under tupe?
(I realise plenty of people commute this far, particularly in London, but this is a life-style choice that I've specifically chosen against. Ability to use public transport to reach my workplace in a timely manner was a key factor in my decision to accept the original job offer a few years ago).

I assume from your mention of TUPE that the comany that you originally worked for has just outsourced your work to a second company ?
TUPE means that all your existing terms and conditions from the original comany should still apply after the transfer. So what are the contents of those T&Cs ? Many companies these days have a 'mobility' clause in their contracts that say that the comany can expect you to move a certain distance.
If you don't have such a clause, then they can't force you to move, but if you refuse to then that is justification to make you redundant, which may not be what you want in the present climate.
so I think the first thing is to check what your employment T&Cs say in realtino to mobility.0
