Wont be able to use payplan like I wanted

had my 'meeting' today but because he wanted me to put my £120 up to £190 for groceries under the guidelines it only gave me a £50 surplus instead of the £115 and he said my best option was bankruptcy or offering them all £1 a month for now.
I'm not happy with that as i know for a fact i dont spent £190 on food a month and would rather use the money towards my debts.

You could always try CCCS or CAB and see what they say for other opinions? There are a lot of people doing dmps on their own - that might be another option. The guidelines that they give you are government guidelines, but if you feel you can live on less, then tell them that. Either that, or you could save the extra money and then be in a position in a while to make f&f's on some of your debts.

    Hi

A number of people on here run ther own DMPs, so pm people like Gemmzie (who actualy runs her father's).

On the other hand is there a reason why you do not want ot go BR?

so.. do i divide my surplus and offer them the share or do i offer each a certain %

Check out the National Debtline website - will show you how to work it out as I'm not sure tbh. I'm with CCCS and let do all that!

    offer them all a percentage.

    BUT

Utilities and Council tax are priority debts.
Send each of them a CCA request first (if appropriate)
Check each of the debts for PPI and late payment charges first.
Get yourself a new basic bank account if one of your creditors is your current bank (or you want to reclaim charges from them).
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

If you do go it alone, make sure you only set up STANDING ORDERS with your creditors, it's not advisable to set up DD.

    Good luck to you.
