Buying Land

Hi,

I'm not sure if I've put this in the right place but I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on where is the best place to look when wanting to buy land? My husband and I are looking for land to buy in Oxfordshire or Northamptonshire for us to build on but can't seem to find many plots. Does anyone have any advice on the pitfalls to look out for when buying land?

  • Depends on what you are looking for

    If you are looking for land and are prepared to pay open market prices, then there are a couple of sites that are useful such as buildstore, but to use, you need to pay a one off fee

    However, prices reflect the fact that planning permission has already been gained and there are few sites less than £200k

    If you are looking for speculative land, then there are a number of plot sale companies but such investments are a gamble and there is no guarantee that they will ever result in planning permission
