HGLTsuperstar wrote:but you now have a positive balance, so your CL (i.e. the max negative balance you're allowed on the Egg card) is irrelevant.9.3 You can ask us at any time:
to pay off an amount you, or your Additional Cardholder, owes to another UK lender and transfer it to the Account, as long as the amount transferred would not make you go over the Credit Limit and is not used to discharge your or your Additional Cardholder’s indebtedness to any part of the Egg plc group of companies;
to transfer (by direct bank transfer using the Bankers Automated Clearing Services ("BACS")) an amount from your Account directly to a specified current account held by you or an Additional Cardholder as long as the amount transferred would not make you go over the Credit Limit. These transfers normally take up to four business days to arrive.0 -

But the last time I had a large +ve balance and tried to SBT it using the online facility, Egg's software limited me to my credit-limit. That's why I ended up doing it over the telephone (and then discovered the cashback loophole).
This was in the first few days after the launch of egg money and they could well have fixed their software now. I still think its worth telephoning them though to see if I get the cashback this time (I know for certain I don't get it if I do a SBT online).
I've nothing to lose.0 -

I phoned them to transfer some money from my Egg Money account to my current account 2 weeks ago (it was classed as a Balance Transfer on the statement), but did not receive the 1% cashback. It seems that they have fixed this.Money in longest works hardest0 -
Thanks Yorkshireboy, I was going to preload my eggmoney card, but now I will put the money in my A&L on line saver and pay the egg card off by dd.Wombling £457.410

I have now been using Egg for at least 1 year, and have received 1% cashback even if in positive alance-it is on all purchases.
My only problem with this card is that Egg won't increase my credit limit to the levels on my other cards. I think this is because Egg really want us to stay in a positive balance, in which case the level of credit shouldn't be an issue. (Unless someone else can enlighten me?)
Careful too if you go over your credit limit by any small amount they wil charge £16 for the privilege!
