Home buyers report for private sale

Please can someone tell me if it is necessary to get a Home Buyers Report/Survey, we have a small house for sale in England, not on the market yet but empty, someone has rung us and said they are interested.

Thanks Twixeey

  • You have to have a Home Information Pack arranged if you advertise or market the property for sale in any way.

A Home Buyer's Report is a kind of survey which a buyer can arrange if he wants. It is certainly not the seller's responsibility.

As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.
