Managed to get two samples today - one from Boots in Cheltenham, the other from Debenhams. The assistant on the Clinique counter at Boots was really grumpy about it, she practically threw the sample and me and said that she thought I should have to buy something in order to get the freebie. Not so long ago, before my MSE days, I would probably have felt really embarrassed and gone bright red at this comment. Instead, I simply smiled and asked her whether she got paid extra for her grumpy attitude, or was it another Clinique freebie?!!!!!!!!

  • Whoever was told that the clinique counter in Boots Cornmarket Street Oxford didn't know anything about the offer etc is a lie! I got one there on the day this thread started! I'd go in and try again some time if I were you! Sounds like an excuse not to give any out to me!

  • I just asked the lady on the clinique counter if there were any super defence samples. She never even asked me for the voucher, just gave it me. Thought i'd try my luck and ask her were there any other samples (coz my oh was feeling left out) and she gave me a 15 ml 'M lotion' daily hydration lotion for men.
This was at the large Boots store in Bolton.
