Virgin Broadbrand Placement Help!!!!

Hi Moneysavers,

Recently signed up for Virgin Wireless broadband and phone. Never used wireless internet before, so my question is;

Where would the best place to have the cable box fitted in the house?

Basically its a 2 bed terrace and I will be using the internet upstairs and downstairs so need a strong signal all through the house. I'm not that technically minded so would wireless be any slower than say direct connection to router?
