Confusion with electricity bill
Hi
I really need some help! please bare with me this could be long
I contacted Atlantic in Nov with my concerns regarding my electricity bill and at the time, i was in credit of £150 on electricity and £128 debit on gas so they transferred the balance over and now I'm even. I was then advised to turn off all switches possibles, so over the passed 3 months i have turned everything off possible, (except the sky TV, Internet, phone and fridge/freezer)
I have now received my Nov-Feb bill for the electricity which is £377 including £245 from the previous bill. Confused!!! there's only myself and my husband living in a 2bed house, we both work full time and are out of the house from 6am to 5pm
I called them up and the advisor has realised that i should never have been put on Economy 7 tariff, they are re-looking at my passed usage and are going to re-calculate and refund the difference.
I am really pleased with this, but my question is can i get them to refund the difference from when i joined them (April 08) and second can i call my pass suppliers to also refund me the difference in price?
I have always given them a reading when bills come in, so I'm really confused as to why the bills are so high and two if this is their mistake then why can't they refund from when i joined.
Please help

They are not obliged to offer you any refund - it is not up to the supplier what tariff the customer chooses. If I want to be nocturnal and utilise E7 without storage heaters that is my choice - the supplier is not psychic and can not dictate or guess how I will behave.
They as a matter of good will are offering you a refund. It is not their mistake.0 -
I'm inclined to agree with kim on this although it isn't clear that you chose an E7 tariff - mayde it was an admin error? However, you say you have always submitted readings so you were aware that you had E7, so could reasonably have been expected to tell them earlier.
You are confused as to why your bills are so high. How many kwh do you use a day? Or week? Or quarter? And what sort of heating do you have?0
