Hey moneysavers, i was at boots the other day, and i noticed that boots have there own brand of condoms, slightly cheaper than durex, with different variations. now i dont mind trying asda smart price beans, but there are somethings i dont want to experiement with as if they quality is lower, it could spell disaster.

I'm sure they will be fine, they do have to go through all sorts of tests before sale, I think it has to be stamped with the british kitemark logo:think:.
If you want to go for real moneysaving they are free from the nhs, usually the sexual health clinic. I was told this by my friend who uses this service because she has a much better sex life than me despite being almost twice my age, I'm not jealous, honest:rolleyes::hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly0 -
Condoms actually carry the BSI Kitemark (BS EN 600), or the European CE Mark. So as long as they've got one of those, you are covered!!Tescos latest enemy.........0

I wouldn't get them off freecycle.................0

I use Boots own brand condoms regularly and haven't had any problems or suprises yet...0

You'll find out in 9 months if they are any good.0 -
As with all condoms, so long as it has the CE mark, and that you store and use them properly (not in a warm place, eg a sunny window ledge or car glove box!) and do not use any oil based lube/vaseline etc they will be infe.
Heat and oil based products are the main enemies of condom integrity!0 -
pretty much all been said already - also worth noting though that guys shouldn't keep condoms in their wallets - wallets in pockets = close to skin = body heat = potentially damaged condom liable to break. Surprisingly few guys seem to realize this. lol.
And yeah, you should be able to get free condoms from your local sexual health clinic...a word of advice, though - stay away from the pasante coloured condoms. My flatmate had an "interesting" experience with a red one when the colour ran. lol. Ah, the joys of being a uni student. lol.0 -
Family planning/sexual health clinics are the way forward when it comes to cheap/free contraception, I've found. I had a look at prices in tesco for a pack of 12 durex the other day - £11!!!
Hurrah for the NHS.This is not an automated signature - I type this after every post.0 -

You can get FREE condoms from your GP's surgery - no need to buy them! They even supply latex-free ones for people with latex allergies. Just go and ask."Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience." Anon.0
