E-on and their Energy Saver 9999 con !

Really annoyed the way they do this....

Logged into my account online and found that I was on energy saver online 8 tariff, but the newest and cheapest is energy saver online 12.

Of couse, they dont automatically switch you or even tell you unless you notice and ask to be switched.

Apart from this the tariffs are identical.

Con if you ask me because they hope no-one notices...

Their Online v12 has a slightly greater discount than the Online v8/9 I was on. I cant remember which tariff I was on, but I believe its an extra 2% on the v12.

With each price change there is also usually structural change. What's suitable for one user is not suitable for another. You'd be unhappy if they restructured the tariff and it was less beneficial to you but they bumped you on to it without consultation.

The REAL question is: WHY the need to terminate and replace tariffs all the time? There can only really be one reason and it isn't to benefit their existing customers, that's for sure...

Nope. version 12 is the same as version 8 apart from the price.

It is simply an attempt to confuse the hell out of people, in the hope that from the ensuing commotion they can wring yet greater profit out of us!

    Hi paulfoel

All our tariffs are under constant review to keep up with market pressures and customer demands.

Our online tariffs are reviewed in the same way. Prices and discounts have been adjusted both up and down since the version 8 of Energy Online Extra Saver was launched.

It depends on the area as to whether the version 12 is better, worse or the same as version 8.

If you log into your online account the latest rates and conditions are posted there as soon as they are launched. Just select the Switch Now option at the bottom of the first Your Account page.

Your current product is listed at the top followed by the latest versions of yours and other tariffs. If you think you will be better off on one of the other tariffs you can switch to it immediately through this link.

The online discounts are higher than on other tariffs. Part of the reason for this is as a reward for customers handling aspects of their own accounts.

I completely agree with Kimyeovil. Different customers have different requirements. By putting changes to tariffs on your online account we are giving you options to choose from that best suit your needs.

I am sorry we have caused you annoyance but hope this explains our policy. Any more queries just give me a shout.
