Selling Privately - 2nd Viewing

Hi,

Following on from my previous post, we are selling our house privately. I asked before how long I should wait before calling them after the first viewing, but they called me three days later to arrange a second viewing.

The second viewing was on Tuesday and they brought their mum, they were very positive and aked what we were leaving and said they'd be in touch to arrange a survey.

I haven't heard anything since then and I'm wondering when I should call. Do you think I'd look desperate calling tonight? I really need to know what's going on as if they don't buy it we'll be putting it on the open market.

    You could call them with query, ie you have completed an inventory and would like to run it past them before you post it. Hopefully the conversation will lead onto the bigger question and you can start to flesh out the deal.

    I would leave it a few days. Though a 2nd viewing doesn't mean much these days. We have had several come back for 2nd viewings and one couple came three times.

    I hope they are genuine and fingers crossed for you.

    Never feel awkward about calling after a viewing to check how things are. As an agent we always called next day but afer 2.00 p.m. to give them the morning in which they could call us first. Don't invent excuses to call - just ask is it a house in which they are still interested or not. Making up excuses will be seen through by most people.

    We found 99% of the people had no problem with our doing this. OK some said they weren't sure and needed more time to think it through. Fine leave them alone for a day or two and keep fingers crossed.
