if i close off half of the radiators in the house, does it save money?
does the cost depend on heating up the water which then runs through the radiators?
can anyone explain the different processes that occur when i switch the hot water on and when i switch the central heating on?
both seem to involve heating up water-
cheers dosser

It really does depend on the type of system you have but as a general rule Yes, heating up a larger volume of water will cost you more.0

Depends on your system but it will cost less if you turn radiators off, but only if you keep doors shut so that the rooms with the radiators off aren't heated.
The boiler typically heats water that gets pumped to a valve that either sends the heated water to the radiators or to a spiral heating coil in the hot water tank or to both at the same time.0 -

Same as me, they're great little boilers. You can take them to bits and put them back together again in minutes.0
