Would i be able to go with the Hardship side

Hi

My claim was started way back in November 2006. Sent all the letters to HSBC for just over £7000. Got all the usual reply letters from them .

In late 2007 filled to the courts and sent a box file to court and to the Banks solicitors.A few months after doing this the OFT started proceedings against the banks and my court case was put on hold in December 2007.

A few weeks ago i was took off work by my doctor with sciatica and been told by him that i may be off work for a minimum of 4 weeks but could be alot longer as i cant walk without pain or without a stick a the moment.
I was just making ends meet when i was working full time so now im on sick i will be really struggling.
Does any body think i have a claim against hardship before my sickness gets me into real bad money problems again

Any advice would be greatful

As short term sick it is unlikely, but it is worth contacting your bank and explaining the situation and asking if they can consider an interim payment to assist you. They may have some other assistance they can offer to get you over the temporary blip. I do doubt you will be classified as hardship but as ever when circumstances change
you should try keep in touch with the bank before a problem rather than after.

I assume from your post you are only on stat sick?

    Hi
Sorry but i should have mentioned in original post that i am no longer with the HSBC and when i left i could not close my account because of an overdraft of £300. When i was contacted by the bank asking for there money back i told them i would pay it when they pay me the £7000 they owe me
