When will the March Grocery Challenge start?

I take it this will be starting sometime this coming week?

    During the coming week, yes.

  • I'm going to really try and do it this month.

January was a disaster, not sure why.Probably because I was doing a healthy eating thing which with me always involves buying a lot of expensive meat, seafood and fruit. This is completely unnecessary as my diet is healthy anyway, and a banana and an apple are as low in fat as a mango and a pineapple.

February was OK but I haven't been keeping an eye on the budget. So,March is it.I think I'll aim for £50 a week for 5 including household things.

PLEASE do not start the challenge in this thread. I need to be able to ensure that new members and those new to the Challenge are able to see the guidelines in the first post.

That's OK... :) I'll start it off next weekend. As usual I'll sticky it for the first few days before listing it in the "Monthly Challenges" link in the blue bar.

There are so many different pay days in a month these days that we hardly get started on one month than someone wants to start the next. Basically you don't have to run your challenge month from pay days; all you have to do is set aside your planned budget for your pay month and then at the start of the next calendar month note how much money you have in the kitty. Compare that to what you have left in the kitty on the first day of the next calendar month to see how you are doing.

Or simply join in the new month's thread on day one and say "well my pay month started earlier and I've spent £x of my budget of £y so far..."
