Bonnie Babies - Special Care Baby Charity Challenge

Hi, I am posting this for my OH's mum. As she explaines on the justgiving page she volunteers for a baby charity called Bonnie Babies. They make clothing and blankets for tiny premature babies. This year would have been the 21st birthday of her twin babies, my OH's brothers, who sadly died shortly after birth. To mark their birthday she has set herself a challenge to make 1000 items for the charity and raise £500. Here is the link to the justgiving page with more details. Thank you for reading this

I've been making things for our local SCBU at Southend. I've made little knitted hats and also soft blankets which are useful when the parents pick the babies up out of the incubator, or just to lay over a baby. These are: needles size 4mm, baby double-knitting, any colour. Start with 4 stitches and do garter stitch increasing at the start of every row until 100 stitches, then decrease the same way until back to 4 sts. Very easy to do while watching TV.

I just delivered a bag of hats and little blankets to our SCBU this afternoon.
