really worried

 i don't work as two young children oldest being 2 the thing is we thought my partners wages until april would total £15,500 but now they are going to be more like £16,750 so now i'm worried we are going to lose working and child tax credits or it will get down by loads.
i have done the calcultaor on their page but it only works out how much for the last month of this working year which is march and not how much we would get for each month for april to april this coming year. i hope this makes sense.

What was your final income for 2007/8?

I ask as this years award is based on that figure and it will give you a better estimate of any changes.

Did you contact them and say your income was going to be lower this year then? And they based the award on your estimated income of £15k, or did they leave it based on the 2007/8 figure?

If the former, the difference isn't likely to make a massive difference to your award, but I think you may have an overpayment.

It shouldn't be a big amount I wouldn't have thought, but you ca contact them and ask for the repayments to be spread over a larger timescale if you are experienceing financial hardship.

If your 2008/9 award says it is based on your previous years income of £16750 then you won't have a overpayment and your award should not be any less.

Someone who knows the system better will no doubt answer this for sure though.
