I am considering installing an Electric Undersink - Multi Point Water Heater (Un-vented). Instructions say "Plumbing - Expansion safety valve required at 6 bar 1/2" BSP water connection required"
What is a Expansion safety valve? and what is a 1/2" BSP water connection ?
Where is best place to buy a Expansion safety valve?
Any help appreciated.

A Expansion safety valve is what is say's. At high pressure instead of the boiler blowing up it releases water at 6 bar via a safety valve. There will be one on the appliance and it is 1/2 bsp. This means a 15mm (in new money) connection. This must be piped using a copper pipe through the wall and down to the floor, ideally about 2 or 3 inch from the ground, because if there is ever a problem on the boiler and it 'blows off' the water could be very hot and you don't wat it discharging at head hight.0
