Hello.
I'm new to the forum but regularly keep up to date with the weekly newsletter.
I'm looking to take contents insurance out on items of mine, including;
iPhone (£400)
Laptop (£1350)
iPod Touch (£200)
Samsung TV (£700)
Guitar #1 (£299)
Guitar #2 (£799)
Guitar Amp (£550)
I've seen stand alone insurance for gadgets etc, but I want one insurance policy that covers the lot, I currently live with my mum, who rents the house, and isn't a homeowner.
I also think she doesn't have contents insurance, which is why I specifically want one for me.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, as every site is asking me questions such as roofing type, windows, house built when etc?
I only want contents insurance, not building insurance.

no.
not at the moment, i used to, i'm aware extra insurance is usually required for that0 -
Your mother needs to take out a policy on the entire home contents eg hers and yours in her name.
You cannot take out a policy just in your name (You can take out a very basic possesions policy but they are not great cover and expensive).
Get some quotes in your mums name and give her some money towards it0 -
You go for a general figure with contents insurance, I have my laptop £600 thats insured against all risks, that added £22 to the policy (for a year), depending on the individual policy if its under £500 then it would eb covered in the house.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
