CREST eligible UK investments

I seen that mentioned many times and while I understood what CREST are, how do I find shares that are CREST eligible? It is just I was looking at Halifax ShareBuilder,

It says: Certified withdrawal of stock: £25 per investment: This service is only available for CREST eligible UK investments

So what does it mean, Certified withdrawal of stock?

I'm not a share trader, but I imagine it's what happens if you decide you want to leave the Sharebuilder service and have paper copies of the shares you've bought sent out to you.

CREST is the electronic share settlement system, most liquid shares & all gilts are CREST eligible.

A security in CREST is dematerialized i.e. no share certificate - best way to think about is to think of e-banking. No coins or notes just electronic sums that move about.

If you're really concerned about whether your investments are CREST eligible go onto their website and you can download a list of all securities.
