Hi guys
I've been having problems burning my own music CD's using WMP11 (and WMP10).
It simply won't accept the fact that I have a DVD-Writer installed.
I've been handed instructions by our technical bods at work to remove the UpperFilters and LowerFilters values in the registry under:-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\!!4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Not having the bottle to go messing about in the registry without a belt/braces-type advice, I was just wondering if this was correct or if anyone had anything a little less drastic then me wandering around the registry with hob-nailed boots on?
All advice, as usual, greatly appreciated.

Your techie guys are right. I've had that problem and cured it with the instructions from microsoft. Just make sure that you print the instructions and follow them to the very letter - especially not exiting the registry editor until the very end.

Thanks for that.
Just followed the advice on editing the registry, but it hasn't had any effect.
Anyone any other ideas?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Goto DEVICE MANAGER
Uninstall the dvd driver
Reboot and let it auto reinstall them:idea:0 -
