I am to start a business and need help support and advice.
http://www.businessclub365.com/ & http://www.inbiz.co.uk any good? |What is your experience of them. I am to start a graphic design+print company.
Can you suggest something better or another place to get advice?

Have you tried the Business Link website - Govt sponsored & free! They run really good workshops nationwide and you can often see an advisor for free.
Good luck - the print market is really overcrowded in most regions though. I get at least 2 calls from them everyday chasing business as it's so slack at present!0 -

Hi Happysad!! (fab name!)
We did the start a business programme and were linked to Inbiz when we started up 3 years ago. we had to be linked in order to get a grant of £700 and do their course. Honestly, I learnt more in GCSE business studies! The girl who was to oversee things for us was the nicest, sweetest girl you could meet but completly useless. She visited twice in 6 months yet it was insisted she was a signature on the cheque book! Nice people though! No benefit to us.0 -

Hi thanks for the info. I heard someone say something similar about business link on amazon where they got all the info they needed from a basic book which was better than the course they were running.
My name HappySad came about because I am BiPolar which means that I can get extremes of Happiness (Mania) :rotfl:and Saddness (Depression)

I honestly have figured alot of stuff out as i have went along, and talking to other business owners as well has been a good help. Someone who has been there seen it done it can be a great sounding board if theres something you're not sure about. Made alot of whopping mistakes aswell though, which I am not proud of but now that i know different i can make better choices. The courses were of no use at all unfortunately.

I did some business link courses and I too agree with what is being said. They are Ok to begin with. I have found much more information from reading the few business books that I have. I will take your advice about getting people to support me who have business experience. BusinessLink do offer a business mentoring so I will look into that. IN the mean time I am continuing to read read read and ask question from those that I know with more experience.
Thanks TCM“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson
