HSBC Overdraft Problem

Hi all,
I'm after a bit of advice as i've absolutely no idea what i can do, and the 'collections' department on the phone wasn't interested in anything i had to say.
First i'll give you a little background. I have 2 accounts with HSBC. One is a joint account that is frozen and is £110 in debt. THe other is a personal account in my name which had a £1000 overdraft and is currently about 600 in to the overdraft. I tried to get some cash out tonight and the machine 'retained' my card. I knew there was sufficient funds in there so panicked a little. On the phone to mumbai, i got transferred to the collections department, saying that a 'FINAL DEMAND' has been placed on my personal account regarding the amount outstanding on the joint account
The thing is, the joint account is frozen as i'm now divorced and i've tried paying the amount back on several occasions but they don't let any money in or out of the account without both parties agreeing. (apparently) and i've no idea where my ex wife is now. So HSBC have frozen my personal account and cancelled my overdraft basically putting me right in the sh*t with no money, infact instantly -600 quid. I haven't heard a single thing from them letter wise or phone wise despite them saying i was sent letters stating the accounts dormancy.
I've no idea what to do now as my weekly wage is due to go into the account in a couple of days and will just get swallowed up,any advice will probably help me sleep tonight and will be greatly, greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Jon.

Speak to collections first thing. Make an arrangement to pay the £110 and explain the circumstances of the account, ask for the overdraft to be reinstated and mention there is a regular salary going in that feeds the account that isn't ''inhibited'' (banking term for frozen). Branches will not help with accounts managed by CCS (HSBC Collections) and therefore, speaking to them is best. Call.....

This should put you through to a Collections Adviser xx
PS-Insist the Adviser who you make an arrangement with leaves full notes on your account-ask if he/she can copy them into the customer folders screen so if there are any issues in future, staff can deal with the issue in branch and offer help and support.Loan-£3600 only 24 months of payments to go!!!
All debt consolodated and cards destroyed!!
As D'Ream would sing 'Things.....can only get better'!!!0
