Electric Grill not working!

Hi there,
I have a Hotpoint SQ61T electric oven. The grill has stopped working (the element does not warm up at all). The power supply is good as the fan and light come on. I replaced the element with a brand new Hotpoint part, but still no change. I measured the resistance of the element and it was 30 and 25 Ohms for the outer and inner loops, so not open circuit. I also visually checked the wiring and the switch gear and it all looks fine. The thermostat light is not stuck on or off as it changes with the temp selection control.
I have now run out of ideas, can anyone make suggestions please to fix this grill?
Does it have an internal fuse?
Any help appreciated.

Turn it on and volt check at the element.?
If not there, start working back to the switch.0 -
Ta Alias_Omega,
I'll try that. I had a look at the switch control knob, it looks quite a complicated device and Hotpoint didn't even show it as a spare part on their spares website.
RCHoping this year is better than the last.0 -
2 things to check..
1. The voltage with the element connected and switched on
2. The voltage with the element disconnected (off load)
Voltage to be checked between the live / neutal of the element, then live / earth, neutral / earth.0 -
I am thinking about the next steps now (thanks Alias).
I assume that once I have tested if the electrical supply to the element is good or not, that will make me trouble shoot either some wiring, or wiring and a switch (depending upon which route I am lead down).
The next step would be test at other points and if necessary get a new switch.
Does this make sense?Hoping this year is better than the last.0
