Nintendo Official Magazine changed publishers and there new magazine, Official Nintendo Magazine is out now. With issue one, you get a great offer to subscribe.When you subscribe you get a choice of 3 free Gamecube games. Either, Metroid prime 2;echos/Picmin2/Donkey konga(with bongos!) and you get £13 off the magazine in the shops!
Well worth it if you play nintendo systems.(i bet your thinkin' i'm really said don't you, eh?!)

No, but at least i put it in the Grab it bord!LOL.
The magazine have a brand new team, and preety much every issue has a cover freebie so its worth doing the subscripion if your gonna get every one.
You save almost £13 quid, and those games are £20+ games.

P.s, if your gonna get every one, you'll need to pick up you copy of issue 1 in the shops, as the subscripion starts on the issue after the one out now. (2)

I don't get signing up to the subscription at all.

When you go to subscribe, the subscription under 'subscription term' says 'Quarterly direct debit & free whatever game @ £9.99'. Now does that mean you've to pay £9.99, you get the mag for 3 months (quarter) and that's your subscription over? Or does that mean you're charged £9.99 every 3 months for a year? They don't make it clear at all.

Also if you subscribe to the magazine why would you need £13 off the magazine in the shops as well? Or am I missing something obvious?

I'm actually interested in Donkey Konga, was thinking of buying it so if it's going to be around the same price it is in shops then may as well subscribe to magazine while i'm at it.

You are charged £9.99 every quarter - the direct debit keeps on going until you tell them to stop!

The magazine is £3.99 in the shops and the subscription is £9.99 for 3 issues so you're saving about £2 every 3 issues and get a free game worth £20+ too.

Not sure what the £13 refers to either!

Due to the way the direct debit is set up, when you subscribe to the magazine your starting issue will be the third one.

Ok, maybe i diddent make it very clear.

1) When you subscribe, you choose what game.( 'Quarterly direct debit & free whatever game @ £9.99')
2) You will receive your game within 28 days.
3) You pay £9.99 every 3 months for a year.(£40-ish)(13 magazines in a year)
4) Having a sub will save you almost £13, from buying the magazine in the shops.(not vochers for the magazine)
5)I hope this helps, and think twice about getting donkey konga, it does get a bit boring after a while. i'm getting picmin2, 'cos i don't really like metroid that much!

NEW: It said somewhere in the mag or on the webby that you save almost £13. BUT, you only save £8-ish. Sorry for this mix up.

If you start the subby now, you can get issue 2. 'cos #2 come out on the 16/3/'06 & you can start the subby on the april one which is out on the 16/3/'06. Sorry if thats a bit confusing, but all in all, you can get issue 2 in the subscription.

I don't think so, theres not much point in quiting after 3 months, it a great mag!

I've signed up, and couldn't see any Terms and Conditions, nor any other indication that you have to stay signed up after the first 3 months. Just make sure you instruct your bank to stop the Direct Debit, and inform the publishers at the same time.

It seems like a nice magazine though (especially if you own a Gameboy Advance, GameCube and a Nintendo DS!). I'll give it a chance, and will only quit after 3 months if I don't like it...

I take it you own a 'cube then! what game did you get??I got pikmin2.
Oh, before i forget, earlier i said you could start the subscription on issue 2, but (Locky was right) the direct debit causes the mag to start on issue 3. therefore you will need to buy issue 2, on sale 16/march/'06.
