HSBC - Financial Hardship

I sent off my letters stating they owed me 1700 without interest and was in hardship - Usual letter about being on hold but had income expenditure form - I phoned and spoke to financial team in Sheffield who took my details and said would get back to me - 4 days later she called back to go over details again then said she would call me back that day. Suprisingly she phoned back 2 hours later - had gone thru stuff and saw that I was 520 out of pocket a month and would offer me this back until I get decision about child benefit and tax credits I have applied for. I can then contact them beginning of April to discuss income expenditure again to try and get back rest of charges.
Its better than nothing me thinks - Has anyone else had the same sort of thing?

They said they are going to send me a letter to sign and confirm before putting the money in my account so I am going to check that I can still claim the rest back or I will call them.2008 wins - Mobile Big Snap II, Perona Bottle Opener

Sound, well done x All helps doesnt it. Re the £520 try keep receipts of where this goes towards paying off hardship so when you go back in april you can show u are using the money to better your circumstances.LegalBeagles0

I definately intend to - According to the girl I spoke to she said I can still claim the rest of the money back but as I was claiming under financial hardship they would have to review my circumstances in one month.2008 wins - Mobile Big Snap II, Perona Bottle Opener

Yep at the end of the test case you should get every penny back plus interest. These interim payments are there to get you out of immediate difficulty.LegalBeagles0

Ok guys - a little update for you - Finally heard back from my child tax credit so I made a phone call to the lady I had previously spoken to and let her know - She agreed money was still needed so has arranged to pay back another 2 months for me - £598.00 then I can call back in July - Although I have just had a 250 gas bill for four months that now needs paying so may be a bit cheeky and try ringing them back for some more.
Claiming: 1700
Received so far 1 payment of £520 and 1 to be paid this week of £598.00
And so the saga continues...2008 wins - Mobile Big Snap II, Perona Bottle Opener
