Hi peeps, my washing machine will complete a full wash cycle, but if I immediately try another load, it will go through its cycle without filling up. If I wait a day it will repeat this pattern. Basically I only get one load completed in any one day . Any ideas will be appreciated.

Taken from;Washer Fills Slowly or Does Not Fill
Most do-it-yourselfers can fix a washing machine that does not fill or that fills slowly. First, before starting any repair, unplug the washing machine. Then look at the two smaller hoses leading to the washing machine. Are they kinked? Unkink them as you would a garden hose. Or, look at the two faucet handles at the tops of the hoses. They allow water into your washing machine, so turn them clockwise to be certain they are all the way open. If none of these repairs fix the machine, remove the hoses where they connect to the washing machine. Each hose connects to the washing machine with a fill valve, and the screen inside the fill valve sometimes clogs with dirt or mineral deposits. Remove the dirty screens and replace them or clean them with vinegar and warm water, and your water should be flowing freely. If your washing machine still does not fill at all, fills slowly, or fills with only hot or cold water, call a repair person. You could have a faulty fill valve, which requires a professional.
I'm no expert on Washing Machines, but simple things like that might be worth checking before you resort to getting in a repairman..0 -
Thanks,I've checked the hoses and they are alright.I have in the past put a new bearing in the drum and a few other things.Peel back your baby's eyelid to find no nationality or religious identity mark there. I'm no washing machine expert either, but at a first guess I'd suspect a fault with the sensor that detects the water level.
Depending on the make, it may just be a pressure sensing switch that goes closed circuit when the pressure is above a certain level, so it should be very easy to test - if you can find it!0 -
Thanks, I have thought that it might be something like that. I'll have to go to the library and get a Haynes manual out I suppose.Peel back your baby's eyelid to find no nationality or religious identity mark there.
