We use BG for our gas supply (we only have a cooker so bills are small). But the last couple of bills were estimated. The last but one was underestimated, the next was about right. It seems that unlike our electricity bill from EDF where we can submit our reading if the estimate is out enough and get another bill, doing the same with BG doesn't result in an amended bill.
As I say it doesn't matter so much as our gas bills are quite small, but if we had central heating we would want to pay what is due based on actual useage.
Is there a way to get an amended gas bill from BG?

Hou can give your own reading at http://www.britishgas.co.uk/meterreads or by phoning them on 0800 107 0224
The above details should be on the front LHS of your bill.
If you wish a new bill to be issued because of a significant difference between the estimated reading and the actual one, just ask them to do so. You may need to call them on 0800 048 0202 if you want a revised bill issued. This may depend on how long it was since they issued the estimated bill, but they will always take your customer reading into account when establishing future bills."Now to trolling as a concept. .... OK thanks. I knew I could give a reading online, but it didn't indicate a new bill would/could be issued.0
