Their receipt said when I read it that they don't give refunds. Just replacement or repair. Is that right?

No its not,You could mention to trading standards if you wish that they have a policy of no refunds but a bit of a mute point now you have accepted a upgraded machine and are a happy lufcgirl again..

    I presume that's Leeds United FC :D

    Ring the police...

The police? Why? it's not theft or fraud.

The customer got a replacement, better than the original item. well done to the store.

I originally asked for a refund. They wanted me to pay the difference for the upgraded iPod. I said no, I want a refund...he went out the back, spoke to the manager who gave me the better model.

I don't mind, it's just a bit rubbish if they didn't have another one and wouldn't give me a refund at all!

Those cash converters type places are not cheap they sell things for nearly the full RRP. So I am wondering why seeing as though you work for apple that you didn't get a company reduced one

Because we get 10% discount. I already have an iPhone and wanted the iPod for my brother. It was a 3rd gen Nano...perfectly suitable for his needs and £50 rather than paying £99 for a 4th gen which he'd batter exactly the same
