    I hope you get something sorted out but also hope that this has helped you realise that social work isn't a nine to five job and that you'll need to have more flexible arrangements in place before you come to look for your first job.

    I hope your search for a placement is successful.
    Are you intending on learning to drive? We were told at our interview they would expect us to be able to drive by the end of our first year.
    Quite a few of us had placements this year where having a car was essential .

    Certainly in my Borough our university has a reciprocal agreement with the LA and we would get priority for statutory placements over students applying from outside.

    We are also very short of placements in our town, both voluntary and stat and we got offered a placement and had to take it, it will be the same for us when we go into our final year in September.
