:hello:
My fridge has a temperature control from 0-6. At some point I've accidentally knocked it to 6, so my  is too cold.
What number should it be on please?
I'd look in the destructions, but I haven't got any.

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Give us a clue... make and model?
Start with somewhere in the middle and see how it goes for now?
A number of manufacturers have instruction pages or pdf's on their sites, and if not, look in the Appliances section of the MEGA Index. At the bottom is a link to our manuals sharing thread, and on the last page of that there are links to on-line manuals finders.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I'm pretty sure(but not entirely) that a fridge should run at 4-5 degrees c.
Not sure how that translates on you fridge dial.Have you got a thermometer to check it?0 -
had to sellotape my fridge control as it kept getting knocked up and i was getting frozen milk and even the mince meat froze in there. I keep it around 3 but i keep a thermonitor in there as it needs to be adjusted slightly depending on the time of year.£2 coin savers club = £2880

I don't think the numbers are uniform from make to make. My fridge in the emids is a hotpoint and I usualy keep it at about 2 unless there is a lot in it and I turn it to 4 but at that level the stuff at the back can freeze. The fridge I have at the coast is an electra and I can have that at 6 and stuff is just nicely chilled.Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0

if it comes out frozen - it is too cold
if it comes out hot - you have gone too far the other way
Sorry - that was no help was it

Like squeaky says, start at 3, see what happens after a few hours, then turn it up or down as needed!!!!0

Well, I've tuned it in to 3 for now. It says on the front that it's a Hotpoint Iced Diamond, but there doesn't seem to be a model number.
I got it second hand so don't really know. :rolleyes:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

It's not listed....but the "trial and error" method will suffice.

There's a label thingy inside mine which tells me the model number. It's hidden on the side wall behind the bit that has the light in, so it's not "obvious".
