moving virgin box

Hi,

we want to move our tv but have noticed that the cable box (in the wall) for virgin tv has no extra cable on it, when we had sky we were able to add a extra wire so the tv could go anywhere.
is there anyway to move the tv without having to pay virgin £40 to extend the cable from the unit on the wall.
i dont mean the actual box you get the tv through i mean the one on the wall that the cable comes through

You need this coaxial cable, you will need to determine the length of the cable http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=272

You will also need this F Type connector, preferably two for each end of the cable http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=10447

All you would then do is plug one end to the unit that is on the wall ( it screws on just like you cable you using now with the F Type connector ) and the other to the Virgin box ( and this again is screwed on to the box by the F Type connector) .

thankyou, when i rang virgin they said the only way to do it is to pay the £40 for the engineer to move it,

at least now it should save me a bit of money
